The Star Tarot Card Pint Glass

$35.00

This can-shaped pint glass features an etching of the Star, the seventeenth Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks.

The Star depicts a naked woman kneeling at the edge of a pool with one foot in the water (representing intuition and emotional strengths) and one on land (representing practicality and groundedness). From each hand, she pours the water of life from a ewer, irrigating both sea and land. To her right, an ibis alights on a tree. The ibis is a symbol of communication, wisdom, transition and trust. Above the woman is a large eight-pointed star, representing her core essence, surrounded by seven smaller eight-pointed stars, which represent the chakras. The eight-pointed star, or octagram, is a widely recognized symbol that carries mystical associations in many cultures across the globe. In addition to its universal symbolism of balance and cosmic order, it often represents beginnings and resurrection and is frequently used to denote the cycle of life, from birth to death. The eight-pointed star may be most recognizable to us as the compass rose, representing the cardinal directions for the eight principal winds.

• Meaning: Hope, faith, inspiration, purpose, renewal, spirituality, opportunities

• Element: Air

• Ruling planet: Uranus

Each glass is individually sandcarved in our studio, using compressed air and abrasive to actually carve away the glass for a stunning three-dimensional image that you can actually feel with your fingertip (you can read more about the sandcarving process on our “About” page). These glasses are made to last a lifetime, and the sandcarved image is completely permanent and dishwasher safe.

Each glass is handcrafted to order, so please allow 1 to 2 weeks of production time as we create one just for you. Please note that our stencils are designed after antique tarot cards that are more than 100 years old, age marks and printing flaws included. As with all handcrafted items, while our listing photos are a good representation of the design you are ordering, you can expect minor distinctions in the pint glass you receive, making it truly one of a kind.
