The Magician Glass Tarot Card Suncatcher

$30.00

With beveled edges to catch the light and a twist of hand-dyed gray ombre silk ribbon for hanging, this 3” by 5” glass suncatcher/ornament is beautifully displayed in a window, on a tree, or anywhere that the light will pass through its sandcarved image of The Magician.

The Magician is the first Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks. The magician stands in front of an altar, which contains the symbols of all four tarot suits (cup, pentacle, sword, and wand) and elements (water, earth, air, and fire). Above the magician’s head is the symbol of eternity, also indicated by the serpent cincture around his waist, representing infinite potential. The magician’s left hand points toward the earth, while his right hand holds a wand pointing toward the heavens, indicating a presence in both the spiritual and material realms.

• Meaning: Resourcefulness, skill, dexterity, power, inspired action

• Element: Air

• Ruling planet: Mercury

Each piece is individually sandcarved in our studio, using compressed air and abrasive to actually carve away the glass for a stunning three-dimensional image that you can actually feel with your fingertip (you can read more about the sandcarving process on our “About” page).
