This can-shaped pint glass features an etching of Temperance, the fourteenth Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks.
Temperance is the tarot card associated with Sagittarius (November 22 - December 22).
Temperance is depicted as a winged angel, androgynous in appearance, suggesting a balance between the sexes. On the angel’s forehead is the circular sign of the sun. On the front of the angel’s robe is a septenary, a symbol composed of a triangle (representing the spiritual elements) inscribed within a square (representing the material elements). The joining of the triangle and square symbolizes unity between the spiritual and the tangible. The angel stands with one foot on the rocks and one foot in the water, indicating a balance between the conscious and the subconscious. The angel pours water, the essence of life, between two chalices. The water flowing between the two cups suggests the flow of life and the harmony that comes from the union of dualities.
