Krampus Etched Glass Ornament

$25.00

This flat beveled glass ornament is etched with an image of Krampus, a horned, demonic figure from Alpine folklore who is said to punish children who misbehave during the Christmas season. Krampus is said to accompany Saint Nicholas on the night of December 5, known as Krampusnacht, to visit children. While Saint Nicholas rewards good children with gifts, Krampus punishes the naughty with birch rods, or by carrying them away in his basket.

Each ornament comes with a hunter green ribbon for hanging and arrives in a gift box.

Each ornament is individually sandcarved in our studio, using compressed air and abrasive to actually carve away the glass for a stunning three-dimensional image that you can actually feel with your fingertip (you can read more about the sandcarving process on our “About” page). As with all handcrafted items, you can expect slight variations in the ornament you receive, making it truly one of a kind.
